An Overnight Refurbishment and Re-Branding

Brief

To provide a thorough refurbishment and re-branding at our client’s outlet store in Bridgend.

Action

It was our job to remove fixtures and fittings from around the store and fitting rooms to re-decorate and establish Crew’s new branding. Whilst the staff were required to de-stock every evening and re-merchandise in the morning, as the store remained open for business.

Walls

An MDF box section pelmet was a fixture on three walls, with a series of bead and butt wall panelling which also needed removing, together with the hessian wallpaper from the rear wall. As a result, all of the walls needed remedial work to be made good. After this we decorated all the shop floor walls and skirtings before reinstating the fixtures and fittings.

Cashdesk

We supplied and fitted a timber stud and tapered edge plasterboard – built to conceal electric cabling. We supplied and installed a new back unit, painting MDF cladding panels, the cash desk surface and DDA accessible side panel.

Flooring

In some places the floor was showing signs of obvious wear and tear, including one section which has been damaged by turps. We sourced the correct stain, lightly sanded the worn areas, and applied stain and finish with wax coating. We also supplied and installed a new entrance mat.

Fitting Rooms

We had to make good and decorate the walls and skirting to the fitting rooms and lobby, installing the Crew vinyl lettering. In addition, we decorated the mirror frames and improved the lighting. Where existing fittings were to be removed, we made good the walls and re-decorated, replacing these with new smaller versions.

Results

Our refurbishment has given the store has a bright new look and feel, with a re-branded identity, that’s welcoming for customers.
