Turning an Entrance into a Warm Welcome
Brief
GAIL’s Bakery, Putney, required a creative solution to a section of entrance flooring, together with the installation of a fabricated steel balustrade.
Action
We removed existing metal trim from step edge and prepared the surface. After constructing a curved wooden frame work and ply line, we installed a wood plank floor to closely match the existing flooring.
To complete the look, we supplied and installed 1no. bespoke fabricated steel balustrade and hand-sprayed matt black and clear lacquer.
Creative Solutions
The original step edge was square and had to be re-worked by our carpenter for a curved finish to match the new balustrade. The new balustrade was then hand painted by our decorator to produce a rough finish as requested.
Results
A clear, welcoming entrance with a rustic finish, creating more space in a comfortable environment.
